 My boyfriend and I went to Milford Sound with Kiwi Discovery and we had the most awesome time! We were two of about 15 people on the tour as we were in Queenstown just before school holidays.

After being picked up at around 7am from our hotel we headed out of Queenstown towards Te Anau. On arriving in Te Anau it was very cold and foggy but just breathtaking. The rest of the way to Milford Sound was peppered with stops at beautiful photo locations such as the Mirror Lakes and the entrance to the Homer Tunnel. Whilst we were waiting for clearance to go through the tunnel it started snowing which was really awesome. Going through the Valley of a Thousand Waterfalls was spectacular, as was the actual trip through Milford Sound on the boat. We saw lots of seals lounging on the rocks and the gloomy weather really made our trip special. There's something about clouds and fog that really makes Milford Sound look amazing.

Overall we loved traveling with Kiwi Discovery and would recommend it to anyone. It's nice to not be on a packed tour bus with lots of noisy tourists.
